This was Jingles last night with us, so she left the kids a cute gift for each of them. We had such a good time with our Elf (Jingles) and we can’t wait until she comes back next year. Please share some cool things your Elf has done with your family, thanks. Jingles gave them a picture frame with pictures of the first day she was here, before her magical powers and the last day when she left, when her magical powers were lifted for just some time so the kids could say good-bye. Next she left an Elf cookie, a note from her and a present. The present was an Elf on the Shelf coloring book. The picture frames, the coloring books was a great present for the kids to remember until she comes back next year and the cookie was a yummy treat. Thank you Jingles, we all had a lot of fun with you! You can or could find all this stuff at Barnes and Noble but the note she left, Jingles wrote that from piggybank parties. Jingles made her and her friends some photo props and took lots of pictures of themselves. She also made photo props for the kids.

Jingles got a makeover

Jingles got a makeover! Jingles is staying for Christmas day she asked Santa if she could stay one more day because she wanted to spend her first Christmas with her new family and he said yes. Jingles made extra special clothes for herself so she could be all dressed up for this special day. She made boots, short and tall, she made mittens to keep her hands warm, got a new skirt, glued little red gem stickers on her collar and colored her bell white on her hat. We all had a great Christmas thanks to Santa and Jingles!

Jingles staying for Christmas day

Jingles must have asked Santa if she could stay one more day because she wanted to spend her first Christmas with her new family. He said yes! Jingles made extra special clothes for herself so she could be all dressed up for this special day. She made boots, mittens, got a new skirt, glued little red gem stickers on her collar and colored her bell white on her hat. Jingles also left the kids a note stating she was staying one more day and for a short time the magic would be lifted so everyone could say their good-byes. She also hid one of their Christmas presents from Santa for them to find as their last gift. We all had a great Christmas thanks to Santa and Jingles! Also thanks to piggybank parties for the card Jingles wrote out.

Jingles made a whole pan of donuts for everyone. She used Apple Jacks cereal but other cereals like Cheerios, Fruit Loops or any cereal that looks like a donut with the middle missing out of it, could be used. Cocoa Puffs or circle shaped cereal for donut holes could also be used. Then she frosted the top of the cereal and added sprinkles. My kids loved the donuts that Jingles made for them. The Elf is playing with the printer and copied three pictures for the kids. She even left little Elf foot prints to make it easier for the kids to find her.

Red nose

Our Elf Jingles painted everyone’s nose red with washable paint so we all looked like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. This was cute and the kids loved it. Please share some funny things your Elf has done.

Fifth night, Jingles crepe papered their bedroom doors, but left some space at the bottom to get out because my one daughter would freak out if her door was ever closed or covered. Next time the Elf should just go up and down with the crepe paper because I am sure this took forever and she could have got caught. This was funny, when we was taking the picture of the snowball fight the kids hit the table and the Elf fell on the floor and my daughter cried. So this is what Jingles did to them because they accidently knocked her off the table. If you have pictures you want me to share with everyone just email me pictures and comments of what your Elf did. A snowball fight

Fourth night, Jingles our Elf, the Build-A-Bear dog and the American Girl Dolls having a snowball fight. Jingles used cotton balls for the snowballs. This was so cute and the kids loved it, hope you liked it too. Share what your Elf has done.

Third night, Jingles sprayed shaving cream all over the mirror and herself and wrote, be good, Santa’s watching and Jingles was here.

The name of our Elf on the Shelf is Jingles. She toilet papered the Christmas tree the first night she was here. Jingles has been up to some mischief, good and bad. So I wanted to post some pictures before all of our Elves leave for the North Pole. Our New Christmas Tradition

So here is our new Christmas tradition, The Elf on the Shelf. You can buy a boy or a girl. We went with the girl because my daughter just loves having an elf in her first grade class room. I bought it online from Target so we could surprise her, wrapped it up and put it under the tree with her name on it. She was so happy when she opened it and seen it was The Elf on the Shelf.  We named her Jingles! I put a little bell at the top of her hat to fit in with her name. She is so cute and we are going to have fun with her. I hope you enjoy all the posts of our new elf.

The Elf on the Shelf is a Christmas tradition that helps Santa know who to put on the naughty and nice list. According to www.elfontheshelf.com The Elf on the Shelf is a scout elf, who flies back to the North Pole every night to report to Santa and lets him know whether you’ve been naughty or nice. These nightly visits help Santa and your elf keep a daily record of when you’re good and when you’re bad. The elf returns home early the following morning in a new place. The main rule is not to touch it. If anyone touches the elf, it loses its Christmas magic.
